MY FINGER
Timmy’s alone in life.
He feels alone at school. He doesn’t have any friends.
He feels alone at home because his parents are never around. They’re workaholics. They only come home at night to go to sleep.
No one in Timmy’s life has time to talk with him.
One day, Timmy takes a meat cleaver and chops off one of his fingers.
He tosses the finger onto the kitchen counter next to his mother while she’s doing the dishes… lifts up his hand to show her his missing finger and smiles at her.
His mother screams hysterically and panics. She rushes Timmy to the emergency room. To make a long story short, the hospital can’t reattach his finger.
Timmy stays home from school for a couple of days. His parents take off work and stay with him… nothing’s more important than the mental health of your child, right?
Timmy’s happy. He finally gets to talk to his parents.
When he goes back to school, all the kids want to know what happened. He shows them his missing finger every time he repeats his story.
Timmy’s happy. He finally gets to meet the kids in his class.
But a few days go by… his parents go back to work… and his new best friends are busy with themselves again.
Timmy looks at his missing finger… wonders which finger should be next.
